HUNGRY HILL MOUNTAIN & WATERFALL
600m of mountain looming over the bay with Ireland's tallest waterfall tumbling
down to a beautiful stream winding its way to Adrigole Harbour. |
TIM HEALY PASS
Wind your way up this incredible pass, dodging the relaxed sheep and enjoying the
waterfalls, to be treated to a beautiful view of Glen Lough. The pass takes you down
to Lauragh (pronounced Larack) a pretty village with a cosy pub. |
ADRIGOLE HARBOUR
The bay itself is quiet and waters are incredibly clear. The coloney of
seals bask in the sun when the tide exposes their little islands. Hawthorn Island is
in the centre of the harbour giving a good focal point. A small mussel farm produces
a good crop of big healthy mussels. For yachtsmen, the Marine Institute laid down 7
substantial moorings for visiting yachtsmen. The pier and slipway where West Cork
Sailing is situated provides easy access for watersports enthusiasts and a fresh water tap
is on the pier wall for all to use. |
ARCHAEOLOGICAL WONDERS
The hills and valleys that surround Adrigole are scattered with interesting
wonders - Wedge Graves, Ogham Stone, Standing Stones, Ancient Church. Alll unspoilt
and make facinating discoveries. |
FLORA
The land is rich in rare flora that has been undisturbed and allowed to grow
amongst the fields and coastline. |
