Bantry Bay Live Aboard
Sail Training
Live on board our New 24ft Cruising Keelboat and learn to sail while
cruising the beautiful waters of Bantry Bay & Now in 2004 Kenmare Bay too.
 A qualified ISA
Instructor joins you by day to teach you the ropes while exploring the Bays and leaves you
safely moored up to enjoy the peace and tranquility of living on your own yacht at night.
There is plenty to discover in Bantry Bay. Each day you explore hidden coves
along the Beara Peninsula, Sail around Garnish Island, venture into Bantry town, cruise by
Whiddy Island and along the Sheeps Head Peninsula, enjoy the luxury of Lawrence Cove
Marina on Bere Island or anchor ku in a quiet sandy cove with crystal clear waters under
Dunboy Castle.
We now also go round into Kenmare Bay on the 5 day holidays. You can sail through
the sound under Ireland only cable car at Dursey Island, cruise out to see the Bull &
the Calf and explore the beauty of Kilmacalogue Harbour (and the welcoming pubs).
It's your yacht and your skipper, so you decide the itinerary for your holiday.l You
can learn the ISA Keelboat course from Level 1 (beginner) to Level 5 (advanced) and learn
how to navigate inshore waters or just sit back and enjoy a week of cruising and pick up a
few tips along the way. At the end of each day the instructor will take you to safe
mooring or berth and leave you to enjoy the evening on your own little yacht. You
will have a small tender to row ashore if you want to get to the pubs, shops or
restaurants.
