The Boat House Cafe Bistro is now only open to our sailors and specially booked
parties.
So our sailors can enjoy their lunch in the comfort of the cafe bistro
or on the balcony overlooking the harbour and
mountains.
Lunches
We are well known for our delicious home made soups. That welcome aroma of
a delicious soup on the hob travels out into the boat yard and offers a welcome
return after a mornings activities out on the water.
A simple buffet of salad, cheeses, meats and breads is all laid out for you to
help yourself to as much as you need. A large bowl of fruit, packets of
crisps and the ever full tin of biscuits is always their for a tasty snack.
And of course, tea and coffee is perpetually available at any time of the day.
Sailors lunches should be booked in advance at time of booking course. You
are also welcome to bring along your own picnic lunch and dine with us in the
Cafe or outside on our picnic benches and you are still welcome to help yourself
to tea or coffee.
Dinner
A tasty dinner is served at around 5.30-6pm to all inclusive customers.
You can be sure of a good hearty home made meal at the end of your day on the
water. Dining with us is like a home from home and our customers normally
help themselves to quantities that suit them. We are happy to cater for a
variety of diets, just let us know well in advance (we ask ceoliacs to bring
their own special breads etc).
Parties & BBQ's
An evening at the Boat House Bistro is wonderful. You can relax on the
balcony with a glass of wine while the BBQ sizzles away. Delicious
speciality salads, succulent meats and yummy breads are all served at a time to
sit your group. You can bring your own wine and beer and we have a self
service clear door fridge for you store your 'booty' and dig in whenever you get
thirsty. The view from the Bistro and balcony is second to none, watching
sea birds diving into the tranquil waters, listening to the water lapping up the
vacant slipway and waiting for the sun to set behind Hungry Hill. There is
no place in all of Ireland that could beat this view and experience.
