Mile Building -

You will take a fantastic 4 to 5 week adventure sail to / from the Canary Islands, exploring the French, Spanish & Portuguese coasts along the way and then cruising, training and exploring around the beautiful Canary Islands. The qualifications and the experience you gain on this course, gives you the opportunity to become a qualified and confident Commercial Yachtmaster.

Extras Included in the course fee  -

• Accommodation throughout your training period - even when at sea you still have your bunk at The Birches;
• Lunch and dinner during all shore based training courses;
• Breakfast, lunch and dinner every day while at sea;
• Five dinners a week when ashore in Canary Islands;
• Navigation shore based packs and books;Use of a wide range of reference books;All training and tuition;Use of yacht for final exams;RYA and ISA certificates;Use of coastal sailing waterproofs and wetsuits;Substantial discounts on purchasing sailing gear.

Not Included -

• Telephone bills in accommodation;
• Meals on non course days and night before day off;
• Two dinners a week when ashore in Canary Islands (as it's nice to eat out);
• Breakfast while on shore-based training;
• Airfare to or from Lanzarote;
• Yachtmaster Offshore exam fees for ISA / Dept of the Marine or RYA / MCA (approx €500 for both, this covers the fees and expenses of the external examiner which vary due to transport costs);
• Sailing Wellies;
• Membership RYA or ISA;
• Medical Examination (which is required for Commercial ticket).
