its doorstep. Heating, catering, showers and office back-up provide

Adrigole Harbour leads out into Bantry Bay on the South West Coast of
Ireland - one of Europe's premier cruising grounds. There is an
amazing abundance of marine life and sea birds to see every day. The
region is warmed by the Gulf Stream, so ther is rarely a frost and waters
are temperate.
The base is in the quiet village of
Adrigole on the Beara Peninsula in West Cork, surrounded by the Caha
Mountain range, great for hiking and mountain biking on days off. The
village has four pubs, a shop and a church. The busy town of
Castletownbere is 15 minutes drive west and the village of Glengarriff is 15
minutes drive to the east. Adrigole is 11/2 hours drive from Cork City.
Training and Cruising
All dinghy and keelboat training is provided in the sheltered waters of
Adrigole Harbour, then out into the magnificent Bantry Bay and around Bere
Island. Shore-based training is in the purpose built centre.
Initial cruising training will take place
along the beautiful coasts of South West Ireland. The numerous
harbours, bays and islands provide the perfect training ground.
You will take a fantastic mile building
and skills building trip to or from the Canary Islands, exploring the
French, Spanish and Portuguese coasts along the way and explore the
beautiful Canary Islands. This trip provides an excellent opportunity
for each trainee to put newly acquired skills into real action. It is
an adventurous trip with some tough days sailing into big seas and strong
winds. Then there are the relaxing days with calm seas, sunshine and
dolphins on the bow. This trip is given plenty of time, so that each
passage can follow the weather patterns, ensuring a safe journey.
