Cruising and training adventure Ireland to Scilly Islands and Back
7 days all inclusive €750

We plan to board Jessy (Sun Odyssey 37) on the morning of Sunday 16th May and heading off out of Bantry Bay and past the Fastnet to to this lovely set of islands. It will probably be about a 30 hour sail through day and night. One or two nights there and sail back to the wonderful South West Ireland coastline. Giving us a couple of days to enjoy Ireland and disembark after lunch on Saturday 22nd May. (this may change based on what the wind tells us).

This map shows you all those lovely beaches - the landscape is spectacular.

A little about the islands

Just 28 miles off the southwest tip of Cornwall, lies the small, beautiful archipelago of the Isles of Scilly, boasting mile after mile of white sandy beaches, acres of natural landscape to explore, a rich and fascinating history, holidays custom-made for you.

The whole of Scilly is a reminder of a slower, kinder and more genteel England; time seems to move more slowly here, you almost step into a world of days gone by. Explore and find out why Jude Law has described the Islands as "the best place on earth".

There is poetry and humour in the names of the uninhabited Islands ... Men-a-vaur, Kettle Bottom, Hunter's Lump, Great Cheese Rock.

And each has their own mystery to unfold...Both Tean and St. Helen's have the remains of early Christian chapels, and St. Elidius, a British bishop and son of an English King, is though to be buried on St. Helen's. Round Island has its iconic lighthouse. Samson is more spacious and welcoming, with its gently rounded hills crowned with abundant prehistoric monuments. The Norrard Rocks to thenorth-west are more wild, a playground for seals and hunting ground for countless sea-birds. The Western Rocks are a permanent memorial to the countless ships and seamenlost before Bishop Rock - a 50metre rock column, totally covered at spring high tides, was successfully crowned with the UK's most South-Westerly lighthouse. The Eastern Isles are another favourite seal playground and a haunt of peregrine falcons.

This adventure sail is on board Jessy of Adrigole. This journey of beautiful coastline and open ocean is excellent for training and enjoying the scenery - skipper is a great chef too!
