Senior Instructor Course Detail
Role
To manage and organise sailing courses in the ISA
SBSS including the supervision and development of Instructors
Course Detail
Course run by 2 ISA Instructor Trainers
Maximum Trainer to participant ratio 1:8
Minimum number of participants 6
Course Duration 5 days
Course provider must be recognised by ISA to run SBSS Level 1-3
2 ISA Training run the course
and moderate together
Certificate valid 3 years from date of issue
Pre-requisites
Valid ISA SBSS Instructor Certificate
Minimum age 18 years
Recommendation from Club Officer or Centre
Principle
Recommendation from Senior Instructor
Instructor Pre-entry completed within last 12
months
Valid First Aid Certificated from from approved
course
VHF Radio Certificate (see list of course providers)
ISA Safety Boat Certificate
Logbook
2 seasons working as Instructor that must
include 10 weeks teaching SBSS courses in at least 2 different organisations
